Annual Report

Software as a Mission! That is what ChurchApps is all about. We believe the Church should be a sharing community like in Acts 2:44. By sharing open source software and ministry tools we can meet vital needs of the Church.

2024 In Numbers

We are excited to see how God is working through ChurchApps. It is a blessing to show people the great ministry tools we provide. Each congregation has different needs ranging from website design to curriculummobile apps, presentation software and church management software. Whatever the need, when a church uses our ministry tools they can improve the effectiveness of their ministry. In 2024 more than 2,070 churches used our ministry tools. We look forward to 2025 and where the Lord leads us in serving His Church.

We saw a large increase in registrations and downloads of our material in 2024.

Ministry Highlights

Who We Are

We feel the Lord's call to serve the Church by providing technology, curriculum solutions, and ministry mentorship without cost. By providing ministry tools, curriculum, and technology we can free up funds to be used for evangelism, benevolence, and other essential ministry needs. We currently have three dedicated board members, Micheal Byrd, Carolyn Davis, and Jeremy Zongker. Terry Byrd serves as our outreach director.

What We Do

We are hosting more than seventy websites for churches and missions organizations.

There are forty three individuals and churches who have partnered with us in 2024.

Four churches hosted a volunteer ministry team to set up ChurchApps ministry tools.

It is our desire to help as many churches as possible to fulfill their mission to Love God and Love People by providing practical ministry solutions at no cost. This concept goes back to the early church when they "had all things in common" Acts 2:44. If we are able to pool our resources we can advance the Gospel in a more effective way. By providing quality curriculum at no cost we can help the church fulfill the great commission.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirt, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." Matt 28:19-20

Volunteer Partners Make a Difference

In January Micheal and Kari represented ChurchApps at a Children's Pastors Conference in Orlando.

In March they visited Fellowship Regional Church in Iola, Ks. Micheal and Kari helped the church set up Lessons.church, Chums and Live Streaming. The church will begin using FreeShow in 2025. They also spent time with the Cherryvale Christian Church setting up their live stream and working on their website.

In July they traveled to the Christian Church of Riverton, Wyoming. They spent a few weeks there doing everything from setting up ChurchApps programs to training volunteers to helping build a handicap ramp.

ChurchApps sponsored a booth at the Kidz Matter conference in Evansville, Indiana September 24-26. Micheal, Kari and Carolyn Davis were there telling everyone about the ministry of ChurchApps. Micheal led a breakout session at the conference.

These visits and conferences help us to keep our finger on the pulse of the needs of the church. It allows us to work closely with church staff and volunteers, implementing the software. As a result, we discover the pain points, bugs, and needed features of our programs. We establish relationships for ongoing communication to make the process more streamlined and effective going forward. Another less tangible result of our volunteer team visits is the encouragement they provide to the ministers, staff and members of the churches they visit.

Software as a Mission

Technology is the backbone of what we offer to churches. Quality programs provide the tools that churches need to operate smoothly and effectively. An attractive up to date website presents a positive image of the church. High quality presentations make enhance the worship experience. Exciting and well thought out curriculum is essential for education and discipleship. In 2024 with the help of  our volunteer ministry team and by using our ministry tools instead of popular tools such as Pro Presenter, Subsplash, Planning Center and Orange we have saved the Kingdom over $325,000! None of these programs would be possible without our dedicated team of coders. Here is a list of some of the improvements we have made this year:

  1. Web design- We improved the buttons feature and added shadows and thousands of fonts. We also added animations- You can now add animations to your text and images in your website. Animations include, fade in, slide left or right, pulse, shrink, focus to name a few.

  2. Forms-The forms tool has had an overhaul. The format is improved and a payment option is now available. This allows people to register and pay for an event within the form.

  3. FreeShow- We have improved song usage reporting, auto backups, quick start guide and sync transitions to music.

  4. Lessons.church and B1- We upgraded the web app to new frameworks that significantly reduce page size and improve SEO. All of this on top of fixing bugs and improving all aspects of our programs.

Growth Projections

We anticipate continued growth in 2025. Our goal is to see at least a 100% increase in registrations and downloads of our ministry tools.  In the area of finances, we would like to double the amount of ministry partners. With the generosity of God’s people and increased awareness of what we offer, we believe these goals are within reach.

Outlook

God has blessed ChurchApps with a great year. We can’t wait to see what He is going to do in 2025. We look forward to providing the Church with ministry tools that will enhance worship, ministry, and evangelism. It is our hope that our dedication to serving the Church will result in stronger congregations and souls being saved.“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations” Eph 3:20,21
