KidzMatter Conference

Micheal, Kari and Carolyn attended the KidzMatter conference in Evansville, Indiana September 24-26. The conference is “The leading event for Children’s ministry leaders and their teams”. Over 3,000 people attended this year’s conference.

Lessons.church sponsored a booth with the theme of “Free Curriculum Stinks?”   https://freecurriculumstinks.com/   The theme led to some very interesting conversations.

For the past 10 years on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving (December 3rd) people give back to their favorite charity. In 2023 $3.1 billion was raised for charities in the United States.

This year we are encouraging everyone to consider giving to ChurchApps on Giving Tuesday. We are in the middle of our end of the year fundraising drive to complete our budget. We have raised just over $2,300 towards our $15,000 goal.

Jeremy, Kristoffer and our other programers have been busy improving our ministry tools. We are constantly trying to improve our programs to better meet the needs of the Church. Here is a list of some of the enhancements we have made in the past few months.

Web design- We improved the buttons feature and added shadows and thousands of fonts. We also added animations- You can now add animations to your text and images in your website. Animations include, fade in, slide left or right, pulse, shrink, focus to name a few.

Forms-The forms tool has had an overhaul. The format is improved and a payment option is now available. This allows people to register and pay for an event within the form.

FreeShow- We have improved song usage reporting, auto backups, quick start guide and sync transitions to music.

Lessons.church and B1- We upgraded the web app to new frameworks that significantly reduce page size and improve SEO.
